The Organisation

This is an exciting opportunity to get exposure in aid and development, in this NFP organisation working with women and communities to reduce poverty and oppression through educational initiatives.

The Role

Reporting to the Executive Officer, you will collaborate and communicate with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational outcomes - each day will be different to the next in this exciting role!

  • Provide senior administrative support to the Executive Officer, Projects and Partnerships Manager, and the Board and Committees
  • Providing meeting support such as scheduling events and meetings, preparing briefing papers/reports, setting agendas and attending/minuting meetings, and action item follow up
  • Support the Projects and Partnerships Manager to deliver projects and programs - successfully meeting deadlines/desired outcomes and maintaining compliant project documentation, accurate recordkeeping, and preparing reports as required
  • Manage internal and external communications – tailoring communication style to suit the varied stakeholders with whom you’ll be interacting
  • Identify and assist with grant funding opportunities: mapping relevant funding bodies, grants programs and timelines, supporting with writing grant applications, tracking grant distributions, and preparing reports as needed
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail/email and ad hoc office administrative support

Essential Requirements:

You will have a collaborative spirit to work closely with key stakeholders, with plenty of initiative and a solution-focused mindset when faced with challenges.

  • Intermediate-advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy
  • Strong time management skills to balance competing tasks/timelines while providing high-level customer service both internally and externally
  • Advanced relationship/stakeholder management skills, ability to collaborate efficiently in a small team environment and with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Experience in the NFP sector is not a must-have – however, an interest and passion to increase opportunities for women and children in Australia or overseas is important
  • Evidence of qualifications, and completion of a National Police Records Check and Working with Children Check is a requirement of the successful candidate
