TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HAVE:
- Counselling Diploma, Degree or equivalent;
- Minimum of two years domestic violence counselling/case work experience;
- Demonstrated experience working with people who have experienced domestic and family violence from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds;
- Completion of domestic and family violence specialist training or willingness to participate in relevant training;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team; and
- Demonstrated understanding of the Children and Young Person (Care and Protection) Act 1998 and child protection mandatory reporting requirements;
- Group facilitation training and experience in early intervention programs is desirable.
AWARD CLASSIFICATION:
Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHCADS) Award 2010, Level 4 or 5 depending on qualifications and experience.
