1 Million Women is a global movement of women and girls acting on climate change through the way we live. 1 Million Women is a registered charity and through everything that we do - our campaigns and events, our educational content, our climate action app, our research into behaviour change and our LoveEarth Marketplace - our goal is to empower as many women and girls as possible to act on the climate crisis.
We are looking for a digital fundraising all-rounder to lead our yearly peer to peer fundraiser, end of year donations efforts, crowdfunding campaigns and to grow our regular donor base.
Beyond the programs we already have, we are looking for someone who can create and implement new fundraising ideas for 1 Million Women.
You will also be responsible for the digital strategy behind promoting public facing fundraising campaigns, with help from our social media and content creation team and will be responsible for researching and writing grant applications, creating new ways to promote donation drives and to foster donors as well as creating fundraising campaign messaging and crafting eDMs.
Our goal is to build on how we utilise the size of our audience to get more donations from our community, enabling us to become more independent.
You will have a lot of flexibility to drive our fundraising strategies in new ways and will work closely with our CEO and COO to come up with concepts and campaign strategies, and then closely with the social media and content creation team to put together the look, feel and messaging of campaigns online and create assets to promote them.
Location - This role is based in Sydney, although we may be flexible for the right candidate and will look into hiring someone remotely if you are the right person.
Days - This is a part time role for 3 days a week, 21hrs
Salary - $65k base pro rata plus bonus structure.
Demonstrated fundraising skills in the not for profit and/or social enterprise sectors
Worked on one or multiple public facing digital fundraising campaigns including peer to peer fundraisers, and have a good grasp of how to lead it and pull it off
Experience writing one or more successful grant applications
Some experience with social media marketing
Excellent written communication skills
The ability to monitor, review and apply analytical insights into fundraising strategies in a flexible manner to help drive success
Experience with platforms such as Raisely and Chuffed (or platforms similar) preferred but not required.
A passion for the environment and looking after the Earth
Even if you feel you don’t meet every one of the above criteria, we still really encourage you to apply.
