About the role

As a Store Manager with Australian Red Cross, you’ll lead the strategic and day‑to‑day operations of a community‑focused retail store. Your work centres on driving sales performance, elevating the customer experience, and ensuring the store is a welcoming, well-run environment. With support from the Area Manager, you’ll analyse sales trends, drive business strategies, and champion Red Cross values through exceptional service and community engagement.

You’ll also play a pivotal role in building, coaching and inspiring a diverse team of staff and volunteers. From fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture to ensuring operational excellence across merchandising, donation flow, compliance and workforce development, you’ll create a space where people feel supported, customers feel valued, and the shop thrives as a positive presence in the local community.

What you will bring

• Proven ability to drive revenue and meet financial targets
• Experience coaching, mentoring and motivating staff and volunteers
• Ability to build cooperative, respectful and diverse team environments
• Confidence managing stock flow, merchandising, and store administration
• Commitment to delivering high quality service
• Ability to maintain appealing, on-brand store presentation
• Understanding of brands, styles, and customer preferences
• A proactive, solutions focused approach to challenges
• Understanding of WHS, policy adherence and loss prevention obligations

This role is covered by the General Retail Industry Award 2020, Level 6. Salary from $61,473.36 + superannuation, and access to salary packaging.
