Lead community development outcomes that make a lasting difference across the Northern Territory.
You've sat with Traditional Owners, community leaders and local entrepreneurs, not to consult at them, but to build with them. You've seen what happens when communities lead and government backs them.
And you've thought hard about why it works. For you, community development isn't a feel-good add-on. It's a discipline with evidence, method and rigour behind it, and you can make that case to people who don't yet see it.
As Manager, Community Development, you'll shape how community development is done across the Northern Territory. You'll work across government, industry, community organisations and local communities: one-week workshopping strengths with a regional team, the next turning that insight into advice that changes how government invests
You won't be delivering programs to communities. You'll be walking alongside our regional teams, the people on the ground across the Territory, building their capability and making sure what they learn actually shapes policy and decisions.
The Department of Housing, Local Government and Community Development is at the forefront of delivering the Government's threefold agenda to rebuild the Territory, with a strong focus on restoring lifestyle, while also supporting efforts to reduce crime and rebuild the economy. Be part of a dynamic and passionate organisation committed to improving the life outcomes of all Territorians and shaping the Territory by fostering community growth, resilience and inclusion.
