We are currently seeking an experienced accountant to identify and rectify ineffective financial reporting and accounting processes, coach and mentor the Head of Finance and team responsible for finance, quality and regulatory compliance and performance.
Established in 1990, arbias is a not-for-profit organisation that supports people with a suspected or diagnosed Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and people with multiple comorbidities such as physical disabilities, mental health, alcohol and other drug related issues, connection with the criminal justice system and high complex needs. We are a recognised industry leader in this field providing a range of specialist support services across metropolitan and regional Victoria and NSW.
Services in NSW include Initial Transition Support (ITS) which provides services to people who have high complex needs post release from prison. People are supported to reduce and prevent reoffending. The service is funded by Corrective Services NSW and is delivered across 17 sites. An arbias case worker is co-located at each Corrective Services site and provides direct support in collaboration with a Corrective Services Case Manager. arbias is also expanding its services in NSW via NDIS support co-ordination and core support.
Services in Victoria include but are not limited to TAC funded Residential Services and Specialised Intensive Case Management & Outreach Services; NDIS Support Coordination & Core Support Services; Community Programs and fee for service neuropsychology assessment training.
Reporting to the CEO, this is a part-time role responsible for providing effective support to, and oversight of a small Finance team of four staff responsible for finance, quality compliance and performance, and legislative and policy requirements.
The position will provide strategic advice to the CEO and will be co-opted to the arbias Executive team and FRAC committee as required.
