The Aboriginal Peak Organisations of the Northern Territory Aboriginal Corporation ICN 10476 (APONT) is an alliance of peak Aboriginal organisations in the Northern Territory. The alliance was created to provide a more effective response to key issues affecting Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory, including through advocating practical policy solutions to government.
APONT is a signatory to the $843 million partnership agreement on NT remote Aboriginal investment (NTRAI), an initiative under the National Agreement on Closing the Gap, and is funded to deliver the NTRAI capacity building and sector strengthening (CBSS) grants program.

The Aboriginal Peak Organisations Northern Territory (APONT) is seeking an experienced and values-driven independent member to join the Steering Committee overseeing the NTRAI Capacity Building and Sector Strengthening (CBSS) grants program.
This is an opportunity to bring independent judgment, governance experience and strategic insight to a significant grants program designed to strengthen Aboriginal community-controlled organisations and expand Aboriginal community control across the Northern Territory.
This is a non-paid role.
