Support Victims to recover from the impacts of violent crime & navigate victims though the criminal justice process.
The Victims Assistance Program aims to assist victims to effectively manage the damaging consequences of violent crime and to minimise the secondary victimisation sometimes associated with involvement in criminal justice system.
This position is based in Mildura or Swan Hill with regular travel throughout the Loddon Mallee region as expected as required.

Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, clinical Mental Health, Criminal Justice or a related field and/or experience within the community sector in a trauma related field.

Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement. This role will also require National Finger Printing and VicPol misconduct screening as part of your role will be to co-locate at Police Stations. AV employees are required to either be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 or have a medical exemption. AV will require evidence that you are compliant with these requirements.
