The Position: 

We are seeking someone qualified and experienced to work within our Targeted Care Packages (TCP) team based at our Dandenong office. The Tenancy Worker role supports young people in care placed in semi-independent lead tenant placements and independent living placements. The Tenancy Worker will work closely with the TCP team and Property team to ensure the head leased properties in the program are well maintained. The Tenancy Worker role will liaise with local agents, owners corporations, property owners and neighbours associated with the TCP houses to ensure good communication is maintained and strong relationships are built.

The part time Tenancy Worker role will work alongside a team of Case Managers and Youth workers in the delivery of the TCP service. The position objectives are:

  • Focus on day to day management of head leased properties in the TCP program.
  • To ensure properties are well maintained and oversee repairs carried out by contractors.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders associated with each property.  

To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in the field of property management and/or social work.
  • Resilience to work with and support clients who have experienced trauma.
  • To demonstrate good communication skills and remain professional in challenging situations.
  • To be flexible and adaptable and be able to work outside normal office hours on occasions.
  • To have experience in the real estate sector and an understanding of property management.

Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
