Our residential youth workers are passionate, motivated, resilient supportive and act as role models for the young people while supporting colleagues to provide a safe and nurturing home environment. This requires excellent communication and relationship building skills, the ability to maintain professional boundaries, and an understanding of how to work therapeutically with young people with complex needs.
You will also require either
Line 1 - 76 hours in the fortnight. Shift times are 7:30am-4:30pm and 4pm-12am. 6 month contract
Line 8 - 74 hours in the fortnight. Shift times are 11:30pm-9:30am. Active nights
Line 3 - 66.5 hours in the fortnight. Shift times are 4pm-12am and 7:30am-4:30pm. 6 month contract. Double Weekends
We also have opportunities to join the team's casual pool.
As part of the Residential program, you will work within a broader team of staff and other key professionals to provide individually tailored therapeutic programs such as HEAL and ERIC, to help young people develop skills and a positive personal vision and future goals, all the while, ensuring that their wellbeing and safety is maintained.
