Reach further with us!

Flourish is a place-based, systems change project working alongside young parents, their children and communities to address entrenched disadvantage through a relational approach. By building on family strengths, improving community connections, and co-creating solutions with those closest to the challenges, Flourish seeks to improve outcomes for families while influencing the broader systems that shape their lives.

As the Flourish Design Lead, you will lead the design and ongoing evolution of the Flourish model, ensuring it remains responsive to the needs, aspirations and lived experiences of young parents and their children. Working closely with families, communities, practitioners and partners, you will translate insight into action - shaping practical tools, approaches and experiences that strengthen outcomes for families and communities.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design and continuous refinement of the Flourish model, informed by human-centred design, relational practice, as well as family and community insight.
  • Undertake and translate research, lived experience and stakeholder insights into practical solutions, tools and frameworks that enhance the delivery of the program.
  • Design and facilitate inclusive, culturally safe engagement with young parents, communities, frontline teams and partner organisations that shape the Flourish model, strengthen local implementation, and inform broader systems change efforts.
  • Create compelling visual artefacts, service journeys and design concepts that communicate complex ideas clearly and support project decision-making.
  • Adapt and strengthen the Flourish model over time, ensuring it is responsive to local context, emerging learning and the changing needs of families and communities.

This is a part-time (22.5 hours per week), fixed-term contract opportunity based in East Perth until 31 August 2028.
