Reconciliation NSW is entering an exciting new chapter, and we are seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation into its next phase of influence, growth and impact.

This is a rare opportunity to lead the peak body for Reconciliation in New South Wales at a time when courageous leadership, truth-telling and meaningful action have never been more important.

Working alongside an engaged Board, a passionate team and a strong network of Local Reconciliation Groups, you will shape public dialogue, influence policy, strengthen partnerships and inspire organisations and communities across NSW to move from commitment to meaningful action.

The opportunity

As Chief Executive Officer, you will provide strategic, cultural and organisational leadership to advance Reconciliation across NSW. 

About you

You are an accomplished executive who combines strategic thinking with authentic, values-led leadership. You are known for bringing people together, building trusted relationships and leading with integrity, courage and purpose.

You will bring:

• Executive leadership experience in a purpose-driven organisation.
• A deep understanding of Reconciliation and contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander affairs.
• Demonstrated success influencing policy, building strategic partnerships and leading organisational growth.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including revenue diversification and organisational sustainability.
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement and governance capability.
• A collaborative leadership style that inspires confidence, optimism and action.
