  • We’re on the lookout for a dynamic executive to join our Pride Inclusion Programs team to lead national programs to drive LGBTQ+ inclusion across Australia’s health and wellbeing sector.
  • Expertise in service delivery that is inclusive, culturally safe, person centred, affirming, and trauma informed health care is critically important to success in this role. Confidence to discuss barriers, disparities and the social determinants of health is expected of applicants.
  • Full-time 76 hours per fortnight based in our Gadigal (Surry Hills) office.

You'll be a part of the Pride Inclusion team, which provides support for employers across the portfolios of LGBTQ+ inclusion in Australia’s workplaces, health and community care systems and all aspects of sport.

Ok, so what’s the role?

The National Health Lead leads a team supporting inclusive service delivery in the health and wellbeing sector. The key focus of the role is:

  • Strategic leadership to develop and expand ACON’s work and influence in inclusive service delivery within health and community care organisations.
  • Manage key programs, which will include leading a team of Relationship Managers, participating in division leadership, and collaborating with ACON wide stakeholders to ensure alignment with ACON priorities.
  • Business development and stakeholder engagement to drive growth through grants, tenders, and partnerships with government and health and community care organisations.

Who are we looking for?

  • Comprehensive understanding of the Australian health care sector including structure, economic and funding models, and the regulatory environment with a focus on primary care.
  • Strong experience and/or understanding of the delivery of health care and of clinical practice.
  • Business development skills.

What else can we tell you?​​​

  • Salary: Starting from $122,559.84 (Gross Annual Salary PLUS Superannuation and Leave Loading)
  • Location: ACON’s Gadigal (Surry Hills) office, with some flexible working options a possibility (away from the office).
  • Hours: Full-Time (76 hours per fortnight) on a fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.
  • Salary Packaging up to $35,000 gross up value (i.e., currently up to $15,900 Expenses + $2,650 Meals, tax free).
  • Generous pro-rata leave entitlements – including up to an extra week of paid leave for full-time employees to be taken during our Christmas and New Year’s shutdown period.
