About Us

Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (KNAC) is the Registered Native Title Body Corporate for the Nyiyaparli People, representing approximately 450 members.

The Nyiyaparli People are the Traditional Owners of approximately 36,684 square kilometres of land and waters across the East Pilbara region of Western Australia. KNAC exists to protect and promote the rights, interests and aspirations of the Nyiyaparli People while supporting strong governance, sustainable economic development and community wellbeing.

Position Purpose

Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate & Community Services, this is a diverse and influential leadership role where no two days are the same.

You will be responsible for ensuring KNAC's technology environment is secure, reliable, and fit for the future while identifying opportunities to improve business processes, enhance digital capability, and support better outcomes across the organisation. Working alongside leaders and trusted technology partners, you will help turn technology into a genuine enabler of organisational success.

About you:

You are an experienced technology professional who combines strategic thinking with practical problem-solving and enjoys helping people use technology to achieve better organisational outcomes.

Experience and qualifications include:

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Information Management, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing technology projects, consultants or technology service providers
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and enterprise business systems
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, information governance and technology infrastructure
  • Experience analysing business processes and implementing technology solutions that improve efficiency and service delivery
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non technical users
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail

Desirable

Experience working within an Aboriginal organisation or community-controlled environment will be highly regarded, together with experience supporting Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles, business intelligence, reporting and analytics platforms, and technology governance frameworks.
