Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (KNAC) is the Registered Native Title Body Corporate for the Nyiyaparli People, representing approximately 450 members.
The Nyiyaparli People are the Traditional Owners of approximately 36,684 square kilometres of land and waters across the East Pilbara region of Western Australia. KNAC exists to protect and promote the rights, interests, and aspirations of the Nyiyaparli People while supporting strong governance, sustainable economic development, and community wellbeing.

Location: This role is based in South Hedland.

Reporting to the General Manager, Community & Corporate Services, the Human Resources Officer plays an important role in supporting HR operations across the organisation.
During the initial onboarding period, the successful applicant will work closely with the HR Consultant, who will provide practical support and guidance as they settle into the role.
Working closely with managers and employees, you will coordinate recruitment and onboarding, maintain HR systems and employee records, prepare employment documentation, support learning and development initiatives, and provide first-level HR advice. You will also contribute to policy implementation, employee engagement initiatives, and organisational projects that strengthen culture, compliance, and workforce capability.
You are an organised HR professional who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering accurate, confidential, and timely HR support.

Desirable
Experience using BambooHR and knowledge of Fair Work legislation will be highly regarded, as will previous experience working within an Aboriginal organisation or community-controlled environment.
