Pride Foundation Australia is seeking applications for Board membership from people living in Western Australia.

As a volunteer based national philanthropic fund our purpose is to grow LGBTQIA+philanthropy in Australia, and in particular to advance equity for Australian LGBTQIA+ communities and individuals most disadvantaged by discrimination and structural inequalities. 

We are looking to fill the place of our retiring Western Australian Board director, as well as diversify our Board. We are interested in applications from LGBTQIA+ individuals living in Western Australia, and particularly:

• Trans, gender diverse or non-binary people
• People with innate variations of sex characteristics
• People who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
• People of colour
• People with refugee background
• People living with disability

Applications should address the following selection criteria:

• Direct knowledge and involvement in Australian LGBTQIA+ communities
• Experience in governance including Board membership, financial management
• Interest in fundraising and/or grant giving
• Volunteer experience
• Previous involvement with Pride Foundation Australia or similar philanthropic groups
• The reasons for applying to the Board
• The names of two referees.
