In July 2025, Nūl successfully completed the Nūl Peace Ride 2025, cycling 1,000 km over 12 days while running 10 days of community workshops across Sri Lanka. Building on this momentum, the 2026 Peace Ride (1–22 February) will coincide with expanded initiatives, including the development of a 50-acre hub developing local community-building projects.
The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator will play a key role in supporting these initiatives by creating engaging digital content, amplifying our projects, and raising awareness both locally and internationally. This role also offers the exciting opportunity to potentially join the February 2026 Peace Ride, engaging directly with communities and contributing to project delivery.
This voluntary position provides a meaningful chance to contribute to social change, collaborate with a values-driven and innovative team, and develop skills in communications, community engagement, and campaign management within a high-impact humanitarian context.
Nūl is dedicated to building connected and sustainable communities in Sri Lanka by creating educational, economic, and social opportunities. Guided by inclusive collaboration and a commitment to long-term transformation, we work alongside marginalised communities to strengthen their foundations and shape thriving, resilient futures. Grounded in equity, education, and economic progress, our vision is bold:
By challenging dominant narratives and prioritising the voices of those most affected by historical legacies and ongoing challenges, we work collaboratively with people from all backgrounds. Our approach is rooted in shared humanity, aiming to build a more equitable, inclusive, and united Sri Lanka—where all communities can contribute, belong, and thrive together.
As a key step towards this vision, Nūl is developing partnerships and raising funds to transform a 50-acre site into a community driven, environmentally conscious hub over the next 5-years. Led by community leaders and supported by professionals and students across the globe, this initiative is immersed in development research, local cultural knowledge, and experiential practices. By blending local insights with global expertise, the project strives to meet both immediate and long-term community needs. Through inclusive collaboration, this purpose-built space will work towards restoring social cohesion, foster economic empowerment, and establish a sustainable foundation for the growth of local communities.
Make a tangible impact: Contribute directly to community-led projects, workshops, and initiatives that empower marginalised communities in Sri Lanka.
Join a values-driven team: Collaborate with a passionate, innovative, and international team committed to social justice, community building, and long-term positive change.
