The Everybody’s Business program at NMLL is now recruiting volunteer mentors to help guide refugee and migrant women starting their own microbusiness in Australia. The role of the Volunteer Mentor – Everybody’s Business Program – is to give support and advice in the context of product and business development for participants of the NMLL microbusiness course. We are looking for people with good business planning skills and an ability to impart knowledge with women from culturally and linguistically diverse background. Successful Volunteers will:

  • Be required to submit an application form along with a current CV or Resume
  • Be required to attend an interview with the Microbusiness Program Coordinator
  • Be required to give consent to undergo a police check (NMLL will pay for the police check)
  • Be required to attend an induction session of approximately 2 hours over one evening
  • Be required to attend an evaluation session of approximately 2 hours over one evening on a Thursday in Nov/Dec 2017
  • Meet mentees for weekly/fortnightly sessions from one to two hours per session for a minimum of 6 months
  • Meet mentees in a local community facility including NMLL
