About Lives Lived Well:
At Lives Lived Well, we help people who are impacted by drugs or alcohol as well as mental health. We get lives back on track by delivering a wide range of programs and services (including residential rehab) across 40 locations in Queensland and New South Wales.
About the role:
In this role you will provide cover for any after hours absences at the services. You will need to be available to work across weekend and overnight shifts and provide assistance to clients who have completed treatment, have a sustained period of self-management.
The role will also include:
- Supervise the self-administration of prescribed medications by the resident population
- Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with residents to identify and address issues of concern
- Participate in house meetings and community activities and contribute to the maintenance of a harmonious therapeutic environment with the residential rehabilitation service
The successful candidate will need:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant human service discipline (for example Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Behavioural Sciences or allied health) (Desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to engage easily with a diverse and complex client group
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Demonstrated understanding of issues relating to the misuse of alcohol and other drugs and/or mental health issues
- Previous experience in a similar setting, is highly desirable
