The Role

Be part of a winning team doing extraordinary work to help prevent youth homelessness in Australia.

This newly created position is an exciting opportunity to help deliver new and innovative solutions to expand on our existing homelessness prevention program. Reporting to the Head of Development and Innovation, you’ll be assisting with the end-to-end delivery of innovative projects including our Village 21 supported accommodation models, mobile studio solutions and other unique early intervention projects.

You’ll also be responsible for nurturing cohesive partnerships with key stakeholders including Government, building project managers, contractors, private funders, families and young people, Community Service Organisations and the internal Kids Under Cover team.

Key selection criteria

  • 5+ years’ demonstrated experience in project coordination
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies and techniques
  • Strong relationship, networking and communication skills that have been developed through working with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Highly developed administration skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in the homelessness sector and knowledge of community development principles in preventing homelessness (highly desirable)
