The Opportunity

Are you a passionate and experienced residential property professional who wants to contribute to the delivery of high-quality services that have a real impact?

An opportunity exists for a skilled Property Officer to join our team for a period of 12 months to cover parental leave coverage within Junction's Property Services Portfolio. The Property Services team is responsible for preparing vacant homes for members of our community as well as assessing property condition to identify properties requiring significant improvements. Your new role will see you conducting property inspections while interacting with tenants, producing vacant property condition reports, scoping of works, work quality inspections, and managing contractors. The ability to readily build rapport and engage positively with internal and external stakeholders will serve you well in reducing incoming tenant wait times, tenant arrears, and costs to support good Housing outcomes.

A brief outline of your responsibilities would include but is not limited to conducting ingoing, outgoing, asset, and ad hoc property inspections, taking all reasonable steps to maintain the asset, producing regular activity reports, managing contractors, and managing turnaround timeframes.

About You

We are seeking a highly driven person who:

  • Has experience in managing property and or physical assets
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills at an operational level
  • Has an intermediate level of computer literacy using the Microsoft Office Suite and experience using Housing and Asset management software
  • Holds a Certificate IV Building & Construction or equivalent relevant trade qualifications or significant relevant experience
