Do you have experience managing organisational finance needs using Xero?
As Edmund Rice Foundation expands our valuable work, we are looking for a hands on Group Accountant to support our Finance & Operations Director in delivering accurate financial reporting across various entities.
This is a newly created part time role of 15-25 hours per week based on your experience and availability. The role is covered by the SCAHDS Award and graded level 5.
Our Group Accountant will be based in our north Brisbane office on Mondays and Wednesdays (these can be full days or school hours), with potential to work from home on any additional days.
Managing the Xero ledger including month end close, journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, fixed assets register maintenance.
Preparing draft profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow statements with associated commentaries.
Assisting with forecasting and budgeting, consolidations in Fathom / Calxa, board reporting, audit requirements, and other ad hoc duties as required.
Managing Accounts Payable processing.
Managing Accounts Receivable including generating sponsorship, grant and other invoicing in Xero. Reviewing Salesforce entry of donations, reconciliations of Salesforce to Xero, and Salesforce reporting dashboards.
Managing Payroll in Xero including working with the Finance and Admin Assistant to onboard and offboard staff in Xero, and drafting payruns and reconciliations.
Assisting the Finance and Operations Director with tax and compliance tasks such as BAS, FBT, payroll tax, portable long service leave returns.
Contributing to process improvements and system enhancements.
Providing backup to other finance and administration roles in periods of leave.
