Dr Sophie Scamps was elected to office in 2022 and is the independent federal Member for Mackellar in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. As a Community Independent Dr Scamps’ focus is on the people of Mackellar. Our team works collaboratively with the community to develop policies and priorities that create a better future for all, with a strong focus on cost of living, supporting small business, health, integrity, climate and the environment.
The Community and Campaign Organiser plays a pivotal role in connecting Dr Scamps, her team, volunteers, and the wider Mackellar community. This position is central to maintaining and growing engagement with the Team Sophie volunteer network and strengthening community relationships.

This role involves travel within the Mackellar electorate and requires flexibility for some evening and weekend work.
You are a proactive, politically aware self-starter with strong initiative and integrity. You either live in Mackellar or have a deep understanding and connection to the area. You bring sound judgment, discretion, and a commitment to the values and priorities of Dr Scamps and her constituents.

This is a full-time, hybrid role, with at least 2 days a week in the Narrabeen office. The role is initially offered as a contract, with possibility of extension.
