About the role

This role sits within the Marketing and Communication team and is responsible for the production of AV content to promote CCQ’s products and services and tell the incredible stores of Queenslanders impacted by cancer. This person will creatively capture footage of people, places and events for use by the Marketing and Communications team in marketing collateral and online platforms. The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for producing, editing, colour correcting and uploading all content for CCQ.

This role is a Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week) role.

About you

To be successful in the role, you must:

  • Shoot, edit and produce high quality videos, animations and photographs for use on websites, social media platforms, advertisements, special events and other media needs.
  • Coordinating all video and photography requests with stakeholders, including scheduling, organising and managing video shoot brief, ensuring timely and relevant content production.
  • Contributing to and developing storyboard concepts.
  • Selecting, assembling and maintaining specialised video and photography equipment.
  • Determining desired compositions, choosing equipment, props, settings and lighting to achieve desired results, as per the brief.
  • Providing professional quality videos, edited for use on digital platforms, often with varying degrees of graphic use and animation.
  • Maintaining all camera equipment and supplies, including lights, lenses and tripods.
  • Developing and maintaining a digital/multimedia asset management system for the marketing and communications team that makes files easily accessible and easy to find.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated minimum of five years’ industry experience in videography and photography.
  • Experience using a variety of videography equipment and editing software such as Adobe Premier, After Effects and Lightroom.
  • Demonstrated ability to create overlay graphics to compliment video edits and storyboards based on the shoot brief, when required.
  • Demonstrated high-level communication and people skills, with the ability to discuss complex artistic concepts in easy-to-understand terms.
  • Proven keen eye for detail and a well-developed artistic and creative aesthetic.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail, patience and concentration.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills to manage time effectively.
  • A current driver's licence
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and to use initiative.
