About the roles:

We currently have exciting opportunities to join our adult accommodation service based at Mile End.

This will appeal to Community Support Workers passionate about working alongside people living with disability who require personalised support managing their complex health needs in a unique person centred environment.

The service incorporates a concierge model of support providing technology assistance, and working in a team of Community Support Workers facilitating customers to achieve their day to day requirements. You must have flexibility to work over a 7 day 24 hour period with weekend and weeknight shifts.

Cara are looking for people that are passionate about working alongside people living with disability, focused on achieving individual goals, and supporting people to live great lives.

We are looking for creative and innovative staff with the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and experience in mental health and requirements for support Ability to be flexible, creative and innovative in your approach
  • Committed to working with people to increase opportunities and engagement, promoting independence and inclusion
  • Understanding of technology and paging systems
  • Experience in navigating IT Systems and software
  • Promoting the dignity and positive image of customers within the community
  • Facilitating customer communication and enhancing their choice and decision making processes
  • Assisting customers in all aspects of personal care
  • Facilitating community connection and networking opportunities for people living with disability
  • Flexible work hours including weekend shifts
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
  • Current SA Driver’s Licence
  • Current Working with Children Employment Screening (if issued before 1/07/19) or Disability Services Employment Screening
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003)
