The Assets & Facilities team at Werribee Open Range Zoo play a vital role in supporting conservation, education, adventure, and welfare by ensuring our infrastructure, equipment, and fleet are safe, reliable, and fit for purpose. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong background in welding and fabrication to join our team.

This position requires the candidate to be trade certified or have proven experience in general maintenance and fleet trades. You will work across multiple departments, providing technical support and feedback to ensure operational excellence. The ability to work independently and use online systems to record data and close out jobs is essential.

You'll be responsible for:

• Performing routine maintenance and repairs across a diverse range of assets.
• Operating and maintaining tools and machinery including power tools, skid steers, tractors, and loaders.
• Delivering high-quality mechanical fabrication and welding work.
• Supporting plant operations and infrastructure projects.
• Contributing to a safe and collaborative team environment.
