Youth Outreach Team Leader

Youth Support + Advocacy Service

About the position

The Youth Outreach Team Leader will facilitate the headspace Frankston & Rosebud response to the identified local impacts of COVID-19 restrictions, by increasing the services’ capacity to connect with young people and their families who have disengaged from education, employment or whose social and emotional wellbeing has been adversely impacted. The youth outreach team will facilitate community based assessment, safety planning and pathways to care within our headspace centres or youth service partners locally and enhance the multidisciplinary youth services team within headspace and YSAS.

A safe and adaptive approach to outreach will be adopted utilising the existing youth outreach model imbedded within YSAS. In light of the COVID-19 state restrictions, this includes multimodal service delivery, and where safe and clinically indicated, in person engagement in community-based settings.

The Youth Outreach Team Leader will take primary responsibility of a small team of youth workers at headspace Frankston; providing supervision, guidance and support. The position will report to the Manager and works closely with the Leadership Team at headspace Frankston & Rosebud.
