Established in 1994, Youth Focus delivers innovative and accessible mental health services and programs across WA to help young people aged 12 to 25.A key component of this is our role as the lead agency across various locations, including the dynamic and successful Geraldton Youth Hub located on Southern Yamatji Country.
Youth Focus is looking for a Clinical lead to deliver our Youth Enhanced Service (YES) program. The Clinical Lead is a key leadership position within the Youth Focus Geraldton Youth Hub.
- Full-time position - fixed-term until June 2027 – potential extension in line with funding

About the Role
They are passionate about people and practice and work in partnership with the wider Youth Hub Leadership Team to provide accessible, safe and innovative clinical practice within a multidisciplinary environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Enabling the establishment of a fit for purpose service supporting young people 12 to 25 with moderate to severe mental health needs
- Oversee robust clinical supervision, development and guidance to the clinical team
- Provide and supervise the use of psycho-social assessments using the agreed tools, to determine young people's suitability for the service and delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions, with young people and their families
- Coordinate the integration of medical care into service delivery including regular consultation with the Psychiatrist and Clinical Nurse Specialist where required
- Contribute to clinical integration of co-located services including headspace, CAMHS, and MOST
- Collaborate with the Regional Manager and Service Excellence Team to develop and review relevant clinical governance documents, procedures and guidelines
- Ensure the thorough induction/orientation of new employees and drive a values-aligned team culture, in collaboration with Human Resources and the Regional Manager
About You
To be considered for this position, applicants will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (bachelors or higher) with current full registration/membership with AASW or AHPRA
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge working with young people and families including those experiencing moderate-severe mental health challenges, at risk of suicide, FDV, and child protection issues
- Demonstrated experience in the leadership of multidisciplinary teams, including the provision of clinical supervision and the facilitation of clinical review
- Demonstrated experience and ability to engage with and coordinate care for young people aged 12 to 25 years in areas of mental health and substance use intervention
- Experience in service development and maintaining continuous quality improvement
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of strategic planning, and relevant policy development for service delivery
- Current Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle, with capacity to travel when needed
