Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate male support workers to join our growing team in Tuggerah and Gosford.

This is a casual position offering flexible hours with the opportunity to progress to permanent part-time employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities living in community settings under the NDIS scheme
- Deliver support across ASP, School Holiday Programs, SIL environments and Community Participation activities, ensuring scheduled activities are followed and resources are prepared prior to program commencement
- Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Safely and effectively manage and de-escalate behaviours such as physical aggression, absconding, and emotional outbursts
- Implement behaviour support strategies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants and staff
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised support plans
- Accurately document and report on participant progress in a timely manner using our SupportAbility management system
- Foster a safe, supportive, and structured environment that promotes positive behaviours and healthy relationships
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity for all participants
- Assist with transport of participants as per their Service Agreement and program direction
- Actively participate in team meetings, supervision, and training opportunities
- Promote You Connect programs and services to parents, carers, and the broader community
- Observe safe work practices and adhere to Work Health & Safety (WH&S) requirements
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience supporting individuals with disabilities and complex behaviours
- Experience supporting individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours such as physical aggression, absconding, and emotional outbursts
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 3, and/or other intellectual disabilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and days as required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid Australian driver's licence (required for transport responsibilities)
- Current First Aid certificate (advantageous)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Check required for this role
- Willingness to obtain both checks if not currently held
- Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Check, and Police Check clearances are mandatory for this position
