Senior Clinical Practice Supervisor - SEQ

The Practice Unit motivates and inspires the quality of client practice across yourtown client services through practice supervision and support. As Senior Practice Supervisor you will provide professional practice supervision, specialist advice and expert knowledge of best practice in client service delivery. You will work with yourtown staff delivering direct client services to assist them to work within our Client Practice Framework and support the development of case management and risk assessment skills. You will be working with Counsellors, Youth Workers, Child and Family Workers, Case Managers, Trainers, Employment Consultants and other client services team members. The scope of work includes individual, team and group supervision; contributing to programs and services through providing specialist advice; providing a professional consultancy and support role to crisis response and critical incidents, and promoting and contributing to culturally sensitive, child, youth and family centred, safe practices.

You will need:

  • University level qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling; registration as a Psychologist is desirable
  • Demonstrated professional knowledge and experience in the application of effective counselling and other human services models, processes, theories and techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in case management and the provision of professional practice supervision and professional development of practitioners
  • Demonstrated understanding of Child Protection Legislation, Child Development and commitment to child, youth and family centred, trauma informed and inclusive practice
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and establish and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to respond to on-call 24 hour Duty of Care consultations on a 4 – 6 half weekly rotation roster
