Kids Helpline @ School (KAS) is an innovative early intervention program which provides a proactive approach to promote wellness and increase the resilience of young Australians. KAS Facilitators are invited into primary and secondary school classrooms via video link to facilitate sessions with students about key issues such as bullying, peer pressure, being a school leader, online safety, introduction to Kids Helpline, transition to high school, managing emotions and developing resilience.

We are seeking a Program Manager to coordinate and lead two programs, a primary school program delivered across Australia and a high school program delivered in North Qld. This role provides an exciting opportunity to focus on engaging and coordinating with schools and stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of the program; develop content and lead the team whilst also being able to keep up your practice by facilitating some sessions.

About you

You will have a degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or similar and a minimum of three years direct client practice experience. We are interested in hearing from people who have a background in education and an understanding of the education system. You will demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders including schools, corporate partners and internal stakeholders. You will be able to motivate and inspire a team to meet program objectives. The program uses a wide range of innovative technology so you will need to be proficient in the use of IT systems and video conferencing platforms.
