yourtown’s Mind 4 Kids Program provides psychosocial support and psychological therapies for children aged to 0-11 years with mild to moderate mental health issues, to improve their health, resilience and wellbeing.
We are seeking an Allied Health Professional - Counsellor to support children, and their families by providing a single-entry point into mentalhealth care, wraparound supports and psychological therapies. You will work closely with the psychosocial support team to enhance positive child and family outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a reputable service that has a range of programs in the child and family space and is well connected with the community. You will have the opportunity to collaborate and attend cross-service training with other co-located services including Glugor Young ParentsProgram, Starfish Family Mental Health Support Service, Communities for Children and Expressive Therapies.
You will be comfortable and skilled in working with a wide age range of children and young people and will have demonstrated experience and commitment to evidence-based therapies in line with the person’s needs.
This position will initially be appointed on a maximum term basis until December 2026, with potential for ongoing work subject to funding. Full time and part time applications will be considered.
