Home Care Provider (Start-up)
Location: Sydney (Hybrid / Remote)
Commitment: Approximately 4 hours per month
Remuneration: Annual board fee of approximately $3,000–$7,000 (negotiable based on experience)
About Us
We are establishing a new Australian home care provider with a vision of delivering high-quality, person-centred services that help older Australians live independently at home with dignity, choice and respect.
We are seeking an experienced clinical professional to join our Governing Body as a Non-Executive Member and contribute to the organisation's clinical governance and strategic oversight.
This is a governance position rather than an operational management role.
About the Role
As a Non-Executive Governing Body Member, you will:
- Provide independent oversight of clinical governance and quality of care.
- Attend board meetings (approximately one meeting per month).
- Review board papers and governance reports.
- Provide guidance on clinical quality, risk and safety.
- Support compliance with Australian aged care governance requirements.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making as the organisation grows.
Expected commitment is approximately 4 hours per month, with flexibility around meeting times.
Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from clinicians with experience in aged care, community care or healthcare services, including:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Occupational Therapist
- Physiotherapist
- Speech Pathologist
- Psychologist
- Pharmacist
- Other registered allied health professionals
- Other clinicians with relevant healthcare qualifications and substantial clinical experience
Retired or semi-retired professionals are warmly encouraged to apply.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant Australian clinical qualification and current or previous professional registration (where applicable).
- Demonstrated clinical experience in aged care, home care, community health, disability or a related healthcare setting.
- Understanding of quality, safety and person-centred care.
- Ability to provide independent judgement and contribute to governance discussions.
- Commitment to ethical practice and good governance.
Desirable
- Previous experience in governance, quality management or leadership.
- Experience serving on a board or committee (not essential).
- Knowledge of Australian aged care legislation, standards or clinical governance frameworks.
