We deliver and co-design personalised, and community-based programs supported by neuroscientific research to address the impact of adverse life events in children, young people, and families.

One of our core programs, The Yili Program, is a short-term alternative education program, invaluable in its uniqueness and flexibility. Students gain experience in a wide range of activities that build their confidence and self-esteem, which increases their engagement with learning.

We are currently seeking a passionate Program Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis on a 3 year contract term, supporting our Yili Program in Inala and Oxley.

About the role:

  • In this role, you would be required to oversee the Yili Program at Inala and Oxley, taking charge of achieving project requirements, team coordination and compliance.
  • You would be responsible for ensuring all necessary documentation is completed effectively and for ensuring the safety and support of both the Yili Program team and its participants.
  • The role will follow a standard 38 work week (8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday).

Your day may include:

  • Overseeing daily operations of the Yili Program, including activities, partnerships, and strategic development.
  • Coordinating resources both internally and externally to meet program requirements.
  • Updating and maintaining the Yili Program Plan as needed.
  • Managing budget expenditures and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of program related research, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Being hands-on in program operations, including supervising children and engaging with stakeholders as required.
  • Collaborating with leadership to secure funding for program sustainability and expansion.
  • Managing program expectations and concerns, escalating issues to the Managing Director as needed.
  • Ensuring effective scheduling and delivery of program activities for both participants and the internal team.
  • Coordinating collaborations, partnerships, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Monitoring progress against targets and KPIs and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Identifying, mitigating, and managing program risks.
  • Completing necessary program documentation, reporting and ensuring team compliance.

Our ideal new addition will have:

  • Experience dealing with at risk youth, their families and the system they are engaged in, for example child safety, youth justice and/or juvenile detention centres.
  • Experience in settings with exposure to mental health services, such as occupational therapy or psychology, and knowledge of mental health first aid.
  • Experience coordinating a team in a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Experience in program co-design and delivery with community stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and both written and verbal communication.
  • High computer literacy.
  • Strong organisation, time management and administrative skills.
  • Ability to build strong rapport with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
  • Valid Blue Card.
  • Valid Drivers Licence.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate.
  • Up to date with vaccination requirements - dealing with vulnerable people.
