Unison Housing

About Unison

Unison is a for-purpose organisation that works to reduce disadvantage and social exclusion for over 3,500 people who need social or affordable housing, or who are homeless or at risk of homelessness each year. We believe that housing is the foundation on which to build a life of value but that a good life takes more than just housing - it takes place in a community. We’re also committed to building a thriving community internally for the people that work with us and we’re proud to offer contemporary people programs and benefits in line with our values.

About the role

As our Team Leader, Place Management, you’ll be leading a team of Place Managers to deliver high-quality tenancy services providing coaching, guidance, and sharing your expertise in affordable housing and the social sector.

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated ability to lead staff across multiple sites
  • A calm, trauma-informed and resilient approach to working with vulnerable people and complex situations
  • Enthusiasm for building a positive, inclusive team culture

This is a 12-month Fixed term position under SCHADS level 6 with a salary of approximately $110,000 plus superannuation and leave loading. The role is based at our Carlton office but will require some travelling to properties and between sites. A Victorian driver’s licence is essential for this role.

Why join us

At Unison, we believe in rewarding your dedication with benefits that truly make a difference. You’ll enjoy access to:

  • Salary packaging of up to $15,900 tax-free to increase your take home pay
  • Five weeks of annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
  • 18 days of personal leave
  • Up to 22 weeks of gender-free paid parental leave
