Why our team needs you

We need you to inspire young people to create a better future in Yarra Ranges.

Our Community Support department is currently looking for five (5) dynamic and enthusiastic young people (aged 17-24) to join their team in the role of Youth Ambassadors. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in making a positive difference in the lives of young people across the Yarra Ranges. These positions will provide assistance with key activities including consultation with young people, speaking/presenting at events and co-design of programs, projects and events. Youth Ambassadors may have an opportunity to be members of steering and planning committees and offer a youth perspective across the organisation.

  • You will earn from $31.13 per hour (Band 3) plus 25% casual loading and superannuation
  • Casual position (averaging 3 hours per week) for up to two (2) years
  • There are five (5) positions available

We are looking for

  • Anyone aged 17 - 24 years who lives, works or plays in the Yarra Ranges
  • Reliability and willingness
  • Young people from diverse backgrounds including race, gender, ability, LGBTIQA+ and more. Your different experiences are an asset.
  • Curiosity and self-reflection
  • People who are willing to work collaboratively and share their skills, insights, and networks
