Position Details

  • Location: Teddy Bear Cottage
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:15 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Roles Available:
    • Childcare Certificate III staff
    • Diploma staff

Selection Criteria for Teddy Bear Cottage Positions

1. Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold a valid Childcare Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children aged 0-5 years in a childcare setting.

2. Knowledge of Child Development

  • Understanding of child development theories, practices and EYLF
  • Ability to create developmentally appropriate activities that foster learning and growth.

3. Professionalism and Dedication

  • Exhibit a strong commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanour in all interactions with children, families, and colleagues.

4. Team Collaboration

  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills to engage with colleagues and parents, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.

5. Passion for Early Childhood Education

  • Genuine enthusiasm for nurturing and educating young children
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on best practices in early childhood education.

6. Compliance and Clearances

  • Hold all required clearances (e.g., Working with Children Check, First Aid certification)
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards in early childhood education

7. Immediate Availability

  • Availability to work within the specified hours of Monday to Friday, 7:15 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Flexibility to accommodate additional shifts or responsibilities as needed.
