ABOUT THE ROLE

Wombat’s Pathways to Independence Program is an innovative housing transition program for young people aged 17 to 21 that are exiting DFFH Out of Home Care (residential, lead tenant, foster, kinship care) or have previously been in care. The Program assists participants to develop the life skills necessary to enable them to attain independence and long-term housing stability via housing pathways that include head leased private rental.

This team of 2 provides holistic outreach case management support to people in the program. Over time the PIP program has evolved based on client need and the demands of the housing market, we envisage this will continue. As a result, there is a strong reflective, evaluative, and problem solving component to this role.
