About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Customer Service Officer to join our dynamic team.  Reporting to the Customer Service Team Leader, this role supports a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and a variety of functions within the team, including Intake, Administration, Verification and Reception.

Potentially starting in the Intake function, you will primarily be responsible for:

• Delivering over the phone assessments to ascertain eligibility for services
• Coordinating services in line with care plans, funding and organisational guidelines
• Providing information to clients and refer to relevant services as required.

About you

We are looking for a person who can demonstrate:

• A minimum two years’ experience in a customer facing and/or telephone enquiries role from a diverse client and stakeholder base
• Strong customer service focus and work ethic
• Ability to develop rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Confidence and experience in using a Client Information System
• Proficient in using MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent organisational and time management skills as well as great attention to detail
• Minimum Certificate IV in Community Services, Aged or Disability care, Administration or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• You will be a flexible all rounder who can work in or assist other parts of the team as required including our Intake, Administration, Verification and Reception functions.
