Join a values-driven organisation that genuinely invests in its people, and grow your leadership in a role that matters. Emerging leaders do their best work when they feel supported. At Wesley Mission, you will have the mentorship, structure and team around to take your next step with confidence.
As the Assistant Coordinator (Senior Educator) at our Porters Creek service, you will work alongside the Service Coordinator to support daily operations, lead the team in their absence, and deliver engaging, play-based programs that make a real difference.
You will mentor fellow Educators, build genuine relationships with families and school staff, and uphold high standards of care and compliance in a service that backs you every step of the way.
This role suits someone with emerging leadership qualities, a passion for working with children, and the energy and enthusiasm to contribute to a close-knit, inclusive team culture.
Our Porters Creek service is licensed for 97 children and operates from a dedicated space within Porters Creek Public School. This is a full-time role with a mix of split shifts and block shifts.
We are seeking a confident and capable leader who is passionate about working with school aged children and supporting Educators to thrive. You will bring energy, professionalism, and a calm, organised approach to managing a service. You enjoy working collaboratively with families, schools, and colleagues, and understand the importance of creating a welcoming, inclusive environment.
For over 25 years, Wesley Out of School Hours Care has been creating environments where children feel safe, families feel supported, where children’s safety and wellbeing are non-negotiable and Educators feel genuinely valued. As part of Wesley Mission, a trusted not for profit organisation with over 200 years of community service, we are proud to deliver care that makes a lasting difference.
We operate 15 services across Sydney, the Central Coast and Newcastle regions. Wesley OOSH is committed to child safe standards. All staff are expected to uphold strict professional boundaries, follow child protection policies, and actively contribute to a culture where children feel safe, respected, and supported.
Wesley Mission is committed to diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds and social demographics. Wesley Mission is a Christian organisation requiring all staff to affirm its values. We are committed to providing an environment in which children can feel safe and valued. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
The suitable applicant will be subject to the relevant pre-employment checks for appointment to positions within Wesley Mission (including provision of a valid Working with Children Check clearance number).
