Senior Family Services Worker

Windermere Child & Family Services

Supporting parents and families is a fundamental part of what we do at Windermere. We are committed to outcome-focused care for children, families and individuals and to making a positive difference in the community. Our Integrated Family Services Workers support families in becoming empowered to deal with complex and challenging issues, whilst building positive connections within the community.

About the Role

Reporting to the Program Coordinator of Integrated Family Services (IFS), you will join a skilled and dedicated team of professionals within our Family Health & Wellbeing team. As one of three Senior Coaches (Senior Family Services Workers) you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of 5 to 7 IFS workers and supporting the Program Coordinator to deliver personalised and strength based services, including outreach parenting and behaviour management support. IFS uses the capability-building Practitioner Coaching Framework as a basis for all consumer-facing work. Our services aim to assist families experiencing a range of concerns affecting the safety, growth and development of their children and the family as a whole. You will also bring with you strong leadership and supervision experience to support, mentor and lead an established team of IFS workers.

This full-time position is usually a hybrid model of working remotely (outreach) and within one of our offices based in the South East (Narre Warren or Pakenham). However, due to COVID-19, you will initially commence working remotely from home. Once restrictions are further relaxed, we will look to return to delivering services in our consumers’ natural settings (e.g. their home).

About You

You will hold Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or a similar level qualification. Furthermore you will have specialist knowledge and relevant experience in parenting support services and strengths based intervention support. Your exceptional leadership and people skills with a natural ability to listen, learn, influence and build effective relationships with your team will be key to your success.
