The Role

Windarring Ltd is a Disability Service Provider in central Victoria.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Windarring as a full time Client Intake Officer, in Kyneton.

The successful applicant will aim for excellence in client intake and liaison, and ensures that clients’ support plans and goals are achieved through collaborative relationships with Team Leaders, Operational Managers and staff.

You will strategically engage with clients, families, NDIS and service providers to maximise opportunities for clients. You will have the skills to manage and negotiate client funding and to work with operational leaders to ensure that funding is appropriate to meet client goals.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Diploma/Cert IV Disability Support Services or equivalent and relevant work experience in Disability Support Services or a related sector (including Medication Administration)
  • Previous experience of at least three years in a customer service related role
  • Participant focus: able to work collaboratively with participants, families and staff to ensure individualised service for participants
  • People and organisation skills: demonstrated ability to plan time effectively, ensuring tasks are completed on time and of the expected standard
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to cope with change combined with a willingness to learn new concepts
  • Ability to align with Windarring ethics, mission, values

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Information Technology Proficiency: in Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, including the ability to quickly pick-up new systems and technologies
  • NDIS Worker screening check (which includes a Police check & can be applied for at https://www.service.vic.gov.au/services/national-disability-insurance-scheme)
  • Working with Children’s Check; EMPLOYEE
  • Current valid Victorian Driver’s licence
  • Applicants must have the right the work in Australia and provide supporting documentation
