• Term: Initial term of up to three years, renewable for a further three years

About the Role

WSM Development is seeking to appoint three non-executive directors to support the company’s purpose, uphold good governance and contribute to balanced decision-making in the interests of the Wimmera Southern Mallee Region’s long-term economic and community wellbeing.

Directors will:

• Live in the Wimmera Southern Mallee Region and have strong connections to local communities
• Understand the needs and perspectives of communities and industries across different sectors• Bring experience of accounting/financial management or agriculture/agribusiness
• Be free from relationships, interests or circumstances that could materially interfere with independent judgement• Promote trust between industry, government, community and investors

Commitment

The Company holds 6–8 Board meetings each year. Directors will be expected to participate in Board Committees, occasional strategy sessions and stakeholder events, and to be available for urgent matters where required.
