Working closely with the Counterpart team, Women’s Health Victoria (WHV) is seeking a passionate Volunteer and Data Coordinator to lead the coordination and management of the peer support volunteers.

WHV is a statewide, feminist, not-for-profit leading the pursuit of gender equity in health. We work with government, the health sector, and the community to create better health outcomes for women (cis and trans inclusive) and gender diverse people.

WHV delivers vital support services to the community and empowering health information. We share evidence and recommendations to challenge bias in the health system. Counterpart provides a confidential service that complements the medical system and other cancer support services through peer support, evidence-based information, and free community events across rural and regional Victoria.

About the role

The Volunteer and Data Coordinator is responsible for leads the coordination and management of the Counterpart Peer Support Volunteers, including the Peer Support Hubs, Bridge of Support hospital program, and events and regional wellbeing days.

Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, this role supports delivery of a
high-quality and innovative peer support service for women and gender diverse people living with cancer across Victoria.

The role also coordinates data collection, analysis and reporting to implement Counterpart’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning framework. This includes identifying service insights, assessing program performance to inform continuous improvement and informing strategic program priorities.

Amongst other selection criteria, as an ideal candidate, you’ll have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as health, community services, social work (preferred), or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five years' experience working in volunteer coordination, service implementation, and evaluation with a focus on diverse communities in the health and community sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and evaluate inclusive, accessible, consumer-centred services tailored to the needs of diverse women and gender diverse people.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Competence in using case management software (e.g. Community Data Solutions) and volunteer management systems (e.g. Better Impact).
