WHOS (We Help Ourselves) provides a range of alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment programs in NSW and Queensland. Information on WHOS’ services can be found at www.whos.com.au.

WHOS has opened two new services in Goulburn for people with AOD use and co-occurring conditions:

  • WHOS Mandala House is a residential treatment service based on the Therapeutic Community model (where the residents themselves, through self-help and mutual support, are the catalysts for personal change).
  • WHOS Hub Goulburn is a community-based support and treatment service, offering assessment and referral services, and non-residential supported care.

WHOS is looking for a full-time Assistant Manager to support the delivery of our residential and non-residential AOD services in the Southern NSW region. The position will be located in Goulburn.

The role involves:

  • The coordination of services that provide AOD treatment in various settings (residential, case management, group therapy, aftercare and transitional care, non-residential)
  • Leading a team in supporting individuals with AOD use and co-occurring conditions
  • Supervising the delivery of a structured daily program for individuals in both residential and non-residential settings (including conducting therapeutic interventions)
  • Ensuring client records are maintained as per WHOS requirements, including the use of WHOS electronic data management systems, and that appropriate internal and external KPI reports are prepared as requested

Essential Criteria:

  1. Qualification in health or human/community services.
  2. Experience working with clients that have AOD use disorders and/or associated issues.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation strategies.
  4. Experience coordinating the delivery of treatment services that include case management and group work.
  5. Advanced skills in networking and establish referral pathways.
  6. Experience supervising/managing residential treatment services.
  7. Supervision of staff in AOD or similar services.

Remuneration:

  • SCHADS Award Level 7
  • Salary packaging is available
