We currently have a fixed term opportunity of 6 months available at the WHC, with possibility of extension past this period.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Housing Services Manager is a member of the WHC senior management team and responsible for the delivery of strategic objectives and business priorities inclusive of tenancy, access and demand and customer service.

You will enjoy reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer whilst working collaboratively with all areas of the organisation. You are a leader committed to a client centred approach, excellent customer service, building agile teams, and ensuring every effort is made to support successful tenancies.

Note this role is currently a fixed term opportunity of 6 months with the possibility of extension past this period.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead an experienced housing services team focused on delivering services that meet the evolving needs of clients through a culture of excellent customer service and commitment to quality client outcomes
  • Guide and coordinate an environment of innovation, continuous improvement, service delivery evaluation and customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate dynamic planning, insightful reporting, and change management as you operationalise the strategic plan through business planning with your team
  • Judiciously oversee and manage tenancy and access and demand processes including rent reviews, arrears, and vacancies to meet or exceed KPIs
  • Develop, manage, implement and review partnership agreements and contracts
  • Maintain and improve the housing risk and compliance frameworks by ensuring safety systems are embedded throughout the Housing Services teams and that national registration is maintained
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Community Engagement and Partnerships Manager and Property Services Manager in the delivery of joint KPIs and business priorities, focusing on continuous service improvement

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Degree in Business, Social Science or other similar discipline
  • At least 5 years senior management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of social housing policy and programs and their application in community housing
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical and research skills including report writing
  • NSW Driver’s license
  • Mandatory National Criminal History Check
