About the role

In the context of the COVID 19 pandemic, cohealth has developed a range of services to support the Victorian Government's pandemic efforts. This includes covid testing clinics and a responsive mobile testing team deployed in a range of locations, highrise social and health support teams providing primary care support, community engagement and Health Concierge services to promote good health, hygiene and ensure people have information in culturally sensitive ways.

In addition, cohealth undertakes community engagement to ascertain and engage local communities to understand their needs and the messages that will best work for their communities to keep people safe and encourage people to get tested, use masks and other appropriate COVD safe messages, in the context of the pandemic.

As an essential service under the Victorian Government Health emergency order cohealth provides its services safely and ensures strong clinical governance and infection control standards.

This role is responsible for working alongside housing providers to undertake infection prevention and control audits in high risk accommodation settings, provide covid testing and /or provide education and support to residents and accommodation providers to improve their covid prevention and preparedness.

About you

  • Registered Nurse Div 1 or 2 or similar with experience in a covid setting
  • Up to date infection prevention and control practice and experience.
  • Quality experience, auditing experience, education experience
  • High level written communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
