About the role

The Allied health Assistant at cohealth works in close collaboration with Allied Health professionals within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, client centred and coordinated healthcare. This position includes home and centre-based assessment, living skills training and management of clients with a wide range of medical conditions, disabilities, older people and their carers.

Your daily duties will vary but your main focus will include:

• Direct care services
• Health education & promotion
• Quality improvement
• Administration responsibilities
• Team & policy development

About You:

• You have a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or other relevant qualifications.
• Understanding of and commitment to the principles of community health and chronic disease management.
• Experience in the delivery of community based multi-disciplinary and outreach Allied Health Assistant services and/or demonstrated experience working effectively with marginalised communities and those from CALD backgrounds.
• Capacity to engage and motivate people to make healthy life choices.
• Well-developed computer skills and a current driver's license.
