About the role:

  • 1 EFT (38 hours per week)
  • 12 months with the possibility of extension

This role aims to support the administrative needs of Allied Health services at cohealth with a particular emphasis on the needs of the Occupational Therapy team. This exciting new role is a part of a pilot program that will support our teams to offer an efficient and responsive service to consumers.

Your daily duties will vary but will include:

  • Develop Service Agreements for Home Care Package clients
  • Manage the client data base (Trakcare and My Aged Care)
  • Liaise with external service providers and stakeholders
  • Provide support to manage client appointments and wait lists
  • Prepare client invoices
  • Manage and monitor SWEP Applications
  • Manage stock and purchasing
  • Assist clinicians in preparing client referrals to internal and external services
  • Support the collection of relevant data
  • Carry out duties in a manner that does not adversely affect their own health and safety of others by reporting all incidents and injuries as well as cooperating with any measures introduced in the workplace to improve Work Health & Safety (WHS);
  • Comply and adhere to all cohealth policies and procedures including code of conduct and values;
  • Undertake special projects or tasks as required; and
  • Perform all other duties as directed, within the limits of skills, competence and training to maximise flexibility and effectiveness

About You:

  • Qualifications in Business Administration or relevant work experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience supporting Allied Health service delivery
  • Knowledge of CHSP, HACC-PYP and Home Care Packages
  • Sound IT/ Computer skills including Microsoft office and client management systems; An understanding of Trakcare and My Aged Care is considered an asset
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to support others with day to day problem solving
  • Ability to manage varied high priority tasks within limited time frames
  • Experience and demonstrated understanding of health and community services
  • Proven administrative and organisational skills with an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Experience working with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
  • You are a dynamic, confident person who can engage in a self-led work plan and work with the team to identify opportunities for improvement
