The Role

  • POSITION TITLE: Manager Strategic Planning and Performance.
  • CONTRACT TYPE: This position is full-time.
  • CONTRACT LENGTH: This position is funded until June 2025. Future employment is subject to ongoing funding.
  • LOCATION: Kingswood, NSW (work-from-home opportunities may be considered upon application in line with our Work from Home Policy).
  • ABOUT: The Manager will lead the strategic performance and planning portfolio for the organisation. This new role reports to the Executive Manager Strategy & Integration and supports business excellence to improve organisational performance and achievement of the quintuple aim.

The position includes the following areas of responsibility:

  • Organisational strategy and business planning
  • Service planning development inclusive of the regional health needs assessments
  • Strategic project management
  • Stakeholder engagement and governance
  • Health data management and data governance
  • Organisational performance and quality framework development monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

This portfolio draws together a number of current areas including business and service planning, strategic project management, health data management and data governance, organisational performance and quality framework reporting and strategic stakeholder governance and engagement with consumers and clinicians.

The successful candidate will be required to assess current resources and gaps and build a team culture to achieve the aims of the portfolio.

The position is required to actively participate in key executive meetings and committees, take an organisational-wide approach and support change management to drive the implementation of business improvement processes and communication. It is also expected the role will work with the PHN network where relevant including contributing to national PHN performance and quality framework reporting.

The creation of this new position is in response to the commitment of the Company to build our capacity and expertise in performance and quality monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement and to ensure our work is informed by and positively impacting those we strive to support.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

  • Tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in the field of health, business or project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in strategic programs to achieve business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in senior management roles, being responsible for a team (or multiple teams) of individuals to deliver programs or organisational outcomes.
  • Proven ability to design, develop and integrate multiple pieces of work or project /program outcomes, whilst considering risks and mitigation requirements for the organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience with effective stakeholder engagement, collaborations and consultation that supports strong partnership arrangements.
  • Ability to lead effective change through creating strategy, vision and leadership.
  • Experience in service development, application of policy and project management expertise.
  • A commitment to the values of the organisation and a strong work ethic with a positive attitude and enthusiastic approach to new situations, reform and innovation.
